Free On-Line Course: Foundations of Autism Spectrum Disorders

The National Professional Development Center on ASD has developed foundational information on Autism Spectrum Disorders including recommended and evidence-based practices for early identification and diagnosis, as well as for intervention and education. The information is available online to all parents, teachers and therapists at autismpdc.fpg.unc.edu. Content can be downloaded as narrative readings and/or PowerPoint presentations with notes. All modules have been developed using a national team of professionals.

This information was originally developed in 2008 as an online course, Foundations of Autism Spectrum Disorders, for Autism Training Team members and others in states with which the National Professional Development Center on ASD partners. Indiana was one of the first states to be involved in this grant. Kudos to Dr. Cathy Pratt and her team at the Indiana Resource Center on Autism at IU for their contribution to this excellent resource now available to all for free.
